How To Thaw A Samsung Ice Maker

If you own a Samsung refrigerator with an ice maker, you may find that it occasionally needs to be thawed. Fortunately, thawing a Samsung ice maker is a fairly simple process. Here are the steps you need to take to properly thaw your Samsung ice maker.

How To Thaw A Samsung Ice Maker

1. Unplug the refrigerator from the wall outlet.

2. Locate the ice maker and remove the ice bin.

3. Turn off the water supply to the refrigerator.

4. Use a hair dryer to thaw the ice maker.

5. Use a plastic spatula to remove any remaining ice from the ice maker.

6. Once the ice maker is completely thawed, reattach the ice bin and turn on the water supply.

7. Plug the refrigerator back into the wall outlet.

8. Wait 24 hours for the ice maker to fill and begin producing ice.

The best way to thaw a Samsung ice maker is to turn off the power to the unit and allow the ice to melt naturally. If the ice is too thick, you can use a hair dryer to help speed up the process. Make sure to keep the dryer at least a few inches away from the ice maker to avoid damaging it. Once the ice is melted, turn the power back on and the ice maker should be ready to use again.
